Chestnut Avenue

Chestnut Avenue

A small street located in Śródmieście Rzeszów. It is a narrow route running along the axis of the non - existent Baroque Summer Garden of the Lubomirski Palace to Hugo Kołłątaj Square and further to Kraszewskiego Street along the moat of the castle. The route itself was created at the end of the 18th century, when the castle property was largely lauted and sold to private individuals. The famous Rzeszów Art Nouveau villas are located next to the Chestnut Avenue.

The name of the avenue came from the chestnuts that did not exist today, which grew along the streets.
